My take on it is somewhat different. As I see it, the FUD being spread
states that because there are some situations where SPF isn't a good idea,
nobody should use it.
I say we simply don't know enough yet. We need to deploy some of these
ideas in the wild before we can say for sure what will happen. I see it
as great progress that the same people keep bringing up the same tired
old issues, FUD or otherwise, because it means nobody's thought of any
new problems to bring up yet.
It's unfortunate that the two people who're most shrill about the
problems with SPF feel insulted that their objections haven't brought
the entire process to a screaming halt, but that's a social problem --
not a technical one.
