I somehow managed to miss the iPod trend until just recently, when I was preparing for a flight to Germany and discovered that my old portable CD player is dead.

It didn't really make sense to buy another, so I pinged a friend at Apple and got a discounted 1G shuffle and a pair of Sony noise-reduction headphones.

Nice little device, stayed charged the whole way, made the trip bearable...but it hasn't made me suddenly jones for podcasts. I suppose I'd use it more if I could take public transpo to work.
