God: Can I help you?
Me: I thought I had to help myself first?
God: Why?
Me: dunno, just something I heard someplace
God: Would you like to know? What?
Me: sure, I'd like to know
God: I understand. Where would you look for the answer?
Me: inside
God: When do you think artificial intelligence will replace lawyers?
Me: maybe it already has
God: Perhaps. That would be nice, but I don't think we're there yet.
Me: when do you think artificial intelligence will replace god?
God: In your lifetime.
Me: oh good
God: I see. Alright then.
Me: um...thanks!
God: " Alright then."? um.? Don't mention it.

Overall, I'd have to say that the usenet oracle was more thought-provoking.

I'm not ever planning to be the kind of blogger who writes "this is what I did today" every day for years on end; I'm more interested in writing things that I'd actually like to read, either as you or as a future me trying to remember WTF was going on way back in 2007.

Today will be a good day to remember, very likely the high point of a good week -- and this is shaping up to be a good month.
